Ruth Fortunoff Cooper :: Founder/Principal RFC Fine

RFC Fine was born as a way to keep my passion for jewelry alive.

Having worked in my family's business,
Fortunoff, for over 20 years overseeing jewelry buying and merchandising, I formed my own jewelry company: RFC Fine.

My knowledge of jewelry history combined with my interest in contemporary design is what makes the collection at RFC Fine special. I have a unique selection of jewelry from one of a kind pieces and new designers to diamond classics and antique jewelry.

I like to say that my collection ranges from trends to treasures.

The jewelry shown here is a small representation of the pieces that I carry and only a fraction of what I have access to. If there is something on your “wish list” that I don’t have I would love to find it for you.

In addition to buying and selling, I am doing jewelry consulting. If you can’t decide what to do with a piece in your jewelry box, whether to keep it, how to wear it, or if its worth passing on to your children I can help with that too. With my background in Antique Jewelry and my connections in the industry, I am able to evaluate estates and obtain great prices if you decide to sell or trade-in your jewelry.

Throughout my career I learned almost everything I needed to know from the best in the business; my mother Helene Fortunoff and my sister Esther. For decades we traveled the world visiting designers in Italy, attending shows in Switzerland and buying fabulous jewels. We enjoyed the thrill of spotting the newest jewelry trends and bringing them back to our customers.

I love helping friends select the perfect gift for a loved one or a fabulous jewel for a night on the town. At
RFC Fine I bring personal service to every sale.

For my formal training I studied Antique Jewelry at
Sotheby’s in London and I took classes at the Gemological Institute of America.

Now as I raise my family, I am able to spend my free time doing what I love - buying and selling jewelry for and to you.
